He's just a shadow, just a whisper of a man,
Born once to peace, now born to the war of his land,
He's trapped in a world of his own, although it may seem
That he's alone, but it's as if in a dream,
He lies in wait, for one day, he thinks,
That his love will return, that he won't sink
Into this mass of hatred for how his life came to be,
He's falling further, forever, into this nameless sea
of thoughts. Ignorance has become a factor of his being,
He doesn't know what is real, he believes what he's seeing,
He knows how it was then, it's clear what is wrong,
He's become something else, but it's been so long,
What he sees is a time when there will be no pain,
What he sees is a lie, because only a shadow of a broken man will remain.
