RakeA Poem by Yasmin Moukarim
They ask for mirror's,
But just for zeros, Mindless of reflections, Of not directions. They want the pleasure, That lays in the leasure, But of what measure When they miss the actual treasure. They want the dreams, Of what it seems, Taken like meals, How they feel, But what zeal , Lays in this deal? They ask for honesty, But lack loyalty, And while away dynasty, Of what empathy, Where there is only sympathy, And know not royalty. And so I ask, What amusement, Lays in this game they call entertainment, Where hearts are beheaded, Minds are deviated, And souls are misguided. © 2015 Yasmin MoukarimReviews
