Lust and Love

Lust and Love

A Poem by David A. Lawson

A poem talking about the difference between lusting after someone and loving someone.

Lust and Love

Lust and Love!!  What is the difference?

When you are lusting after someone, are you really falling in love?

When you love someone, are you actually only lusting after them?

Which is right and which is wrong?

How can you tell the difference?

Look deep inside and find the truth.

Lust and Love!! What is the difference?

Don’t love someone when they are only lusting.

Don’t lust after someone who is in love with you.

Someone is going to get hurt.

Sometimes that pain could last for a long time.

That pain could start a war.

Lust and Love!!  What is the difference?

Is it a feeling in one place or is it all over?

Is it more than a feeling? Or is it just hope?

Is this feeling reciprocated? Or is it just one-way

There is only one place to get these answers.

Ask the questions!! Ask not only to your self, but also to another.

The biggest question to ask is, “Lust and Love!! What is the difference?”
