I Did Something Right
Writings by Marcello For my loving daughter Mia Alivia... How did something so wrong Create something so right In this world full of darkness She's my shining light A sign of hope In distant sight Reinforcing the fact This life's worth the fight As I sit here and write Thoughts escape into flight She fills me with joy Overcome with delight Yet doubt overcomes me Keeps me up late at night That Im doing things wrong I dont feel quite right I need to be better Try with all my might But I'll never live up Can't reach that height Am I just all talk? All bark n no bite My head starts its worry My chest's feeling tight Then I'm awakened Dawn takes over night A revelation A new outlook ignites If I am not worthy If my game isn't tight How can it be That her star shines so bright Couldn't be prouder Smart kind and polite To say she is beautiful Comes up weighing light That word doesn't begin To explain what she's inside God's greatest creation My salvation guide Her mark on this world Will not be denied A perfect angel Peace fills me inside There's no one as special You can search far and wide You would find no soul as pure Despite how hard you tried So God please protect her Through life's bumpy ride Unleash her potential Allow her greatness to shine © 2018 Marcello1013 |
