Beautiful Destruction

Beautiful Destruction

Love is not always grand. It can beat you down and tear you apart. So why is it that I crave more?

Beautiful Destruction
Writings by Marcello

Love's sweet poison
Has entered my veins
The heart is consumed
Then sadly it drains

Emotionally liberated
Yet bound by these chains
Bringing morning sunshine
And afternoon rains

We live on the edge
Lust and seduction
Affectionately abused by
Love's beautiful destruction

High in the sky
Yet scraping the floor
Can't stand the hurt
Yet I crave more

It's taken and given
A revolving door
Appreciated and loved
Like a genuine w***e

Some more sweet poison?
It continues to pour
Can't help but accept
Guess it's my fault

Passion that hurts
Preaching on change
A shadow of self
Both familiar and strange

Gotta move on
Pack up my things
Take off in rage
Then my phone rings

So sorry my love
Sadness in voice
Press on the brakes
As if absent choice

Unconsciously driven
Can't seem to end this
Is it self sabatoge?
Or ignorant bliss?
