The Fiend

The Fiend

A Poem by Marcello1013
"

At the crossroads Angel vs, Demon Which path is victor?

"
The Fiend

It is one of those days
It is painful to smile
As energy decays
Thoughts become vile

To the east there's a seraph
To the west lies a fiend
A soul is at risk
A conscious uncleaned

Thoughts are unclear
Desire outweighing fear
The need for escape
Sparks a westward steer

Trapped in a mind
With a spirit declined
Searching for peace
But will never find

Leaving behind
A life that once shined
About to allign
With a demon unkind

His plan well designed
So together we dined
Dotted line signed
As if suddenly blind

Now his toy to wind
Deceitful and sly
But I really don't mind
I just wanna get high
