Demon

Demon

A Poem by Naval Tharun

The very feeling of being in pain
The animal inside shrieking in disdain
all are a Demons bane

Snarling, howling and running in search
A paradise beyond the unknown
Like a mad dog he walks, fancying worldlings who scrub his suffering
Momentous joy is all he has, a being who cant remember the pleasures of his past

He doesn’t know why he was made this way
He doesn’t know if death will redeem
second to second he lives...in now
A demon forged in God’s image

I feel we all carry some portion of the demon inside us. Some fight to repress theirs, others may fight to liberate. Very well written!

Humans were made in Gods image...
Essentially means the demon is a human
Very dark, but I like it!
