Mountains Calling Home

Sitting upon a wooden bench

with cabins all around

In the distance I hear a familiar sound

The birds tweet

the trees stand still

Yet another sound is unique

A silent sound of mountains calling home

Come home from whence you roam

Here my fair lad is your home

I am beauty and I am free

I am the mountains that calleth thee

Food, water, and shelter are here

Come now! Don't delay as I speak in your ear

I am here fair mountains I am home

I left my life behind me, up and gone

I can understand anyone who has a call for mountains. How majestic they are, and how they change with the seasons. Snow capped or otherwise. May your love for them continue forever. A lovely poem.

Lovely call, for life to thrive undisturbed. If I were a plant I would have loved to migrate to your mountain if I could. An Oscar Wilde level idea but why not ryt?
