Thanksgiving Day Heritage by Levi Levin
To our shores the pilgrims came With faith and family did they bring The pilgrim and the Indian alike We're thankful for natures delight A time of Thanksgiving with family and friends A day where peace and thanks begin They were thankful to the Lord above And helped each other from a heart of love A day of Thanksgiving -Washington and Lincoln embarked A day to never forget -engraved in our hearts For decades we paused to give thanks Together with family and friends we stood in the ranks Now a change in Thanksgiving has slipped in Open those doors and let us in! A dash to get instead to give How long will Thanksgiving live? © 2018 Levi LevinReviews
