Tales of the broken hearted

Unable to stay 

Unwilling to leave

Too difficult to face

Too much to grieve

The pain I burden from this heart ache

Always taken for granted

Yet still misunderstood

Never forgot a thing 

Or how it felt good

For so long we have been parted 

But our love was doomed before it started 

Made the wrong choices

Left to deal with the pain

Why does the sun shine when it rains

My heart broken into piercing shards

Never to be found 

Even if you look all around 

Cared too much 

To only end up hurt

Pushed down 

Kicked in the dirt 

Thoughts of love washed away by a sea of tears

As our time to say good-bye draws near

Always hoped you were different, always thought 

You understood but  I was wrong 

You were no good 

Was I right to believe that you were different 

To trust you with my heart

To only have it broken 

And my soul stolen 

Am I to blame for this situation 

No, I'm not because its just 

Another story came and gone 

about a guy and a girl 

But this one doesn't have a happy ending 

Its all just pending 

Until I  stand on my own 

Trying to be happy 

Put on a fake smile 

For the world to see 

Face the cold and wait for the heat
