My mask

See my smile, it's my mask

In the air, is sulfurous gas

Without you, the air burns

And my stomach, it continues to churn

My eyes, they have a burning pain

A pain, it can only be healed by the rain

I know I'm not the only girl who has eyes for you 

There's too much smoke for you to see through 

The pain I get when i see you with another

I begin to fight the tears but why bother 

You won't see them because of the sulfurous gas

And the tears are hidden behind my smile which is my mask

This is very potent for how short it is and with very few words you have conveyed so much. Sometimes wanting someone can hurt so much and with out rhyme or reason it will tear you apart. I know this kind of pain and it is unrelenting. This is a beautiful poem.
