Hardly fair

Hardly fair

A Poem by Keturah Ipaliwan

It hardly seems fair.

I have a little bit of you, but you have all of me.

You got me hooked and left me hanging there.

And I opened up like a book and you just scribbled through.

It hardly seems fair.

You said to play hide and seek in the dark.

I hid but you never came looking.

I waited and you just left me in the dark.

It hardly seems fair.

We both set off sail together.

When we hit an ice-berg, I hit rock bottom and you swam for your life.

It hardly seems fair.

I lit up the night sky for you and you took away my stars.

I showed you my colours and you washed it all out, leaving me colourless.

It hardly seems fair.

I'd like to think I'm an introvert and that I express my thoughts better through my writing. I find writing, among my other hobbies, relaxing and calming. I believe no one should be restricted in expr.. more..
