I wrote you a song

I wrote you a song. I composed you a melody.

I would sing it for you if you would play your music for me.

I would sing it to you if you would harmonize with me.

I wrote you a song with lyrics from my heart;

 I would speak them to you if you would but listen.

I wrote you a song, and I’m singing it to the man on the moon tonight while you’re singing your heart out to another victim of your poetry.
