The Whispered StopA Poem by Nathenial C. BurchallThe power of a soft wordMore powerful then the greatest yael More direct then the greatest stare More effective then tongues can tell The whispered Stop all should fear
Mover of mountains commander of shores Stiller of Oceans, winds and the rains Firmer then strong hands men adores The whispered Stop surely restrains
The intensity, its intent in clarity Purpose undeniable, its point stated One speech, one resolve in charity The whispered Stop, and all abated
God speaks from a far His word obey Silent the omen destruction is sure If you hear His voice obey today God's whispered Stop, from the lure
She cries, her passion unmistakable Pain in her eyes, trembling her form Her look distant and miserable The whispered stop, hails a storm © 2008 Nathenial C. Burchall |
