Out of Darkness

Out of Darkness

A Poem by Nathenial C. Burchall
"

Plight-the escape

"

The cute notice of my shadow the start

Cascading breezes night twill soon be here

Unsettled thoughts of the day on my heart

Like my shadow they are small dabs of fear

My shadow now bright against the soft moon light

The breezes have now turned to their chill

My thoughts race as fear turns to fright

Clouds now hide the moon its darker still

There is no more cute shadow nor seeing my medow

All around me and within is but the dark

Long is the night I long for my shadow

I wait and wonder sitting as blood awaits the shark

Alas my shadow is back as morning raises

Soft light from the sun's dawn

Clouds still abound withholding the days prizes

Like my mind my face still holds it's frown

Thoughts can be blacker then the deepest night

Despair more painful then the bull wip

Simple notions that can hold you so tight

Makes for no escape that darkness, I'm in it's grip

There is hope in this plight to be sure

The promise of no more then you can bare

An uppertunity just may be that open door

Prayer is the strongest weapon for the sincere
