Not What I Want, But I'm Still LuckyA Poem by JamesTleBournI wanted to cry so bad. So, I just hid. / I wanted to punch something. I did. / I just wanted to be with you. I can’t. / So I might as well just stay here and rant. Not What I Want, But I’m Still Lucky I wanted to cry so bad. So, I just hid. I wanted to punch something. I did. I just wanted to be with you. I can’t. So I might as well just stay here and rant. When will I see you again, I can’t know I find it hard to call you, but it doesn’t show It reminds me that I can’t be with you face to face But I’m stuck here in this isolated place But even as crave everything that can’t be I’m reminded of my thankful that I got to see How great we were together and the time spent Was not in vain, to me - how much you meant This isn’t really what I want for us; however, I can’t say much: you made me so lucky © 2020 JamesTleBournAuthor's Note
