DarknessA Poem by Nathan ThompsonDarkness, to some it is a fear to be conquered. Darkness, to some it is an ally, a place to hide. Darkness, to some it is neither of these, but something that marks the passing of the sun as the cycle of day and night continues Darkness is all these things, and more. Darkness is a void, a total abyss, thicker then blood, but as insubstantial as a cloud a state of mind, and the very image of loneliness. Darkness, to look upon it is to see the very core of fear, the heart of terror. Darkness, it is something that cannot be touched, tasted, heard, smelt nor can it be sensed, but can be seen in a thousand things, the universe beyond our own system, the eyes of the dead, and the coming of a new day. The true soul of Darkness, is the Unknown Unknown, succeed in conquering this fear, and life, and the hereafter, will hold no terrors, and you will see this world for what it really is. © 2010 Nathan ThompsonReviews
