Kiss me -- before, midnight!A Poem by Natase J. HopkinsAn argument between lovers and my way of saying sorry.Kiss me -- before, midnight!
O' how gratifying has this day been, light what eyes cause gentle hands to write fondly of love--lips, I wish to kiss, before midnight compelled by such glamour, words i now recite
if only love's--sweeten lips could burn my lips I would sigh, breathe and speak her name and watch with ague, as love sauntered beloved hips thus, before midnight--I softly weep in vain
as remembrances speak with such, a desireable flame a single day--birthed a thousand dreams and yet, for love, i wish to do the same beneath the calling of the moon my heart screams
and though time slowly unwinds the solidity of bliss my ruptured heart clings, it has but one grip one wish--to before, midnight: feel love's fervent kiss to complete a good day--by tasting love's lascivous lip
kiss me, kiss me--love, beneath this starless night O' what soft lips, a single kiss--cleanse the vulgarity of a darkened heart beneath a cursive night what lips, love--pour'd upon flesh, rescind
the trail of nostalgic tears and trembles my hand what heart longs to love--love, long and dear if only i could kiss those lips, eyes would idly understand the fragrance of love and this curse would disappear
please! love kiss these lips, instill the freedom I crave amongst this labyrinth day, night let my heart by those gentle lips be saved come sweetly love and, kiss me--before, midnight! © 2010 Natase J. Hopkins |
