GeneralsA Poem by Nathan the SaneTwist ending poem school assignmentTwo generals stare each other in the eye, Outside looms the blood-red sky. One cracks his knuckles, the other sneers; This will be the gravest battle in years. Battle-mates waiting for every command; Only their general do they understand. Killing here and capturing there; Knights are falling everywhere. In the end, one general stares at the other; A young boy looking at his younger brother. He grins, presuming his opponent's fate. He then shouts out in glee: "Checkmate!"
