Bursting Light on Smouldering Horizons

Bursting Light on Smouldering Horizons

A Poem by Natalie C
"

Collaboration between myself and Gary H.

"

Light of my life bursts through bright morning sky
Shining so bright, know I am always nearby
Touching my soul, so desperate to fly
Through endless horizons, up in stratospheres so high

Cottonbud clouds shroud past regrets,
Magical hues of amourous golden rays
Holding thumbs for when we first met
Touching the face of my beloved far away.

Soft breeze of passion sees love swimming in the air
Vibrant winds craft our spirits as one
Hands express pure gentleness running through your hair
In soft crimson luminosity the sun sets to stun

Mischevious golden waves of inviting amber rays
Rainbow coloured butterflies sending honey kisses
Forever on fire, we dance, pulsate and sway
Flickering, fluttering through feelings of bliss

Smouldering skin, senuorous shoulders burn
Beating hearts between us feeling so close
Heat of the day says we never learn
Wanting you so much, thoughts to engross.

Eyes move in places never caught in the shade
Desire alive within soft splendorous airs
Love breathes forever in a breeze that never fades
Caught in a tender embrace forever shared

Sometimes sad raindrops explode on the pavement
Silent, foreboding washing away life
Watching them land sparkling with wry amusement
Deepening greys destructive sickening strife

Destiny will save us, locked within stares
Cries of the night birds fill the darkened hue
Flavours explode incandesecent with flair
Glimmering delights shine refelections of you

Fancies and musings of shimmering moonbeams
We are intimately touching in so many ways
Together at night in adoring dreams
Loving sighs always end our divided days

The two have blended into one and cant be distinguished as seperate entities. The images are very vivid andexude a certain glow the poem has its own rhytm and melody.
"soft crimson luminosity " is a beautiful sensual expression. The wind seems vibrant with the sound of heartbeats and the hues and shades blend so well.

Many times when 2 pieces are joined they do not blend as well as what has sprung from your combined efforts. Deep with meaning and sincerity, this poem survived the morphing, and ended up as something special.

Nice work!

I'll just bet I know what happened! Great collaboration you two, wonderful images of love, craving and 'intimately touching in so many ways.' I believe that long distance love, given a chance can be the most rewarding of all. There is such a run up to the finish line that it is crushingly hot and sensual...yesiree the kettle is well and truly on the boil here! What does senuorous mean???? I have never heard that word before...
The entire piece deserves merit...kudos, I'll be expecting more!
Cheers,
Helen :-)

For some reason my eye keeps going back to "...sad raindrops explode on the pavement" as I can just see them...in gigantic close up...as if i am right down there on the pavement and they are going off like grenades around me. Also "Cries of the night birds fill the darkened hue" I can hear...again i don't know why those two lines do the business, but they do for me. You've pulled off another collaboration where I can't work out which line is whose. And, I repeat, I like the way up at the top that the atmosphere is used by love to overcome distance. Cracking stuff. Well done! And the poem made me recall Melt.

Assaulted by some many glorious images.............I can't tell you two apart, it weaves as lovers do, blending
in a depth of beauty, and strong love.
One of the most romantic pieces I have read.

Very enjoyable read. I liked how the two parts worked together to make something new and different. You two work so well together that it always leaves me so in awww over what comes out at the end. This was something that was pleasing to the eye to see as well as to be read.

Great Job!!!!!!

The two poems are fabulous on their own, but together they are absolutely amazing!!! It's so cool how two separate poems can meld like this and create an even better piece. Awesome job to you both!!!

Absolutely brilliant. The two together make a complete piece.
I feel it even reads the way it should, two together as one.
Well done!!!
