"Your Fault"

"Your Fault"

A Poem by Nat
"

I wrote this right after someone confronted and after the loneliness that resided in me

"
Yelling is heard but my face,
Turns to stone.

Will the violence I feel every come save me with dramatic Justice?
The dams built in my sockets attempt to reach back into my face,
Fighting to run, to hide.
"Your fault" I look around,
I am alone.

People say they prefer my side,
But my weekends are filled with me and I.
Clouds pass,
The moon shines.
I look around,
I am alone.

"Why do you give so much?"
"Try so hard?"
Because the space a person takes relieves the taste of loneliness in my heart
Makes the air around me warp into a sweet blanket made from personalized birthday cards.

But the floor was dusty and plain,
I should've the known
a rectangle stain of an empty space.
where a rug once was,
Why throw it away?
Just to have to get another?
after it can't handle the tacks of heavy footprints like the others.
I guess that's how friends are,
Fueled with shame.
No one in sight,
but them to blame.
