The Sight of the Animagus

The Sight of the Animagus

A Poem by Natalie Wisecraft

Blazing planets

Thick with fire

Burning and burning

As newness transpires

Fire and ice

Meld together

With the lightening of the stick

The old one strikes

He is the key

To the beginning and the end

And no one will know

What creatures he'll send

Creatures unleashed

Monstrous sights

Black as the day

Light as the night

And when the siren sings

All will be no more

When the man from his boat

Can't return to the shore

I liked this poem. Simple rhythm throughout except at the end 'can't return to the shore'. Two minor considerations are the word 'no' in 'no one will no' (know?) and 'black as the day, light as the night'. While it keeps the rhythm it seems like the words are their just for convenience sake and I don't think they make much sense. Otherwise, good write. Cheers!

Quite good actually...simple but full of ambiguities..can fork in any direction depending on the reader..but if i m nt wrong then in this prophecy only the bad one is more dominating..there shud be something about the one hu is supposed to be vanquish the evil..
