As I wonder, do you ponder

A poem that expresses the feelings that overcomes a girl when she is thinking of that special one.

I wonder some nights what you think

Do you ponder upon moments that we share.

Small and insignificant

but at the same time beautiful and compelling.

I don't know what it is about you that makes me crazy

that makes me go home and think of all the words that were spoken.

Was I nonchalant when I said this

Was it spoken with just the right amount of flirtiest?

You make me feel like I'm prancing on a thin rope

So carefree yet so cautious

not wanting to ruin our friendship.

I want to let you in

tell you my secrets

my hopes

my dreams

but yet I am unable to.

Afraid of rejection, avoiding the thought like a poisonous snake

I think you may already know.

I sense that you sense that I am acting different

I assume you feel the same way

but I don't know.

Oh confused as can be,

as I poor my thoughts out on this piece of paper.

As I wonder

do you ponder

about the times we share...
