Control Blood

Control Blood

A Poem by Narshada

It seeps between my fingers

And there’s not much I can do
To hold it in, hold it back
Staunch the flow
Stem the flood

I’m just going to sit here for a while
And tend the wrong wound
A metallic taste like
All the iron came to the surface
And I’m drowning
