Mist and Mistery

Mist and Mistery

A Poem by Black Jess

Mist and mystery

Dawn and dew

Wind in the willow

Headgerow in the meadow

Birds on the bough

Cloaks of oaks

Frost and forest

Gust and sleet

Floral frenzy

Sodden smell

Rumble of thunder

Now here's some recollections from the books  “The Winter Ghosts” :

Feeling the cold infiltrate the soles to get to toes

Looking back over my shoulder at the soaring mountains with their cloak of trees; sheer against the winter sky

The air was filled with the smell of pine resin

The pull of a branch releasing the aroma of damp earth

The sunlight filtered down through the canopy of bare branches

The countless dusk watching the sun sinking down into the earth

And then… Pinpricks of moonlight

I felt my heart expand with the beauty of it ; the same old world, but seen through new eyes

It was queer that my recollection of the evening was at odds with theirs

About
Writing is my escape. I want to be lost in a world made of books, tea and rainy days. We need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overly.. more..
