Dawn and Dew

Dawn and Dew

A Poem by Black Jess

Resisting the morning cold and waiting patiently for the bliss of dawn
A dim of sunlight blooming in the horizon
dew in leaves, murmur of birds, freshness of the early morning air
companionship in the character of a book
and solitude while appreciating the precious time
Time of my life, of my youth that I try to freeze
Before it takes leave
What does the air do to my mind !
It makes me bleed ink on a paper
And transform feelings into words
Unutterable and sweet
And before I could embrace it all or save it in a deep breath
it's gone to be renewed again

I enjoyed the visit with nature between the lines of poetry. I'm more a fan of hills and trees, flowers and birds than anyone I know. I enjoy watching the sun rise and set as pillars of the day. So I understand the concept of trying to save those precious moments to memory. I enjoyed the read.

We never know when the muse calls but when she does we must make the most of it. It seems that early morning is a time she likes. I can understand that, the breaking of the day, when night fades and light takes centre stage is time I like too. I enjoyed your lines here Black Jess. Gettgst pen writing.
