Holding On

I wish I was that strong,

to continue holding on to, love.

To remain at the other end of the road,

waiting for you to come back.

Even when we aren't at our best sometimes;

I know that we will  figure it out.

Unlike some fake celebrity couples,

the love we share, is beyond unique.

At the end of the road, though I don't want to let go,

I wish, I was that strong.

My grip is loosening up, we're slowly distancing away from each other.

I can't continue anymore.

I'm giving up.

Not on you, not on me, but on us.

I can't remain at the other end of the road,

when it's for sure that you aren't coming back.

Great piece of work! Unfortunately moving on is something we have to do
sometimes, it's extremely hard but is a must to recover and heal:( look at
it this way, you can salvage the strength you still have and put
it towards the healing process, I'm speaking from experience!

Amazing writing! We struggle to hold on. We struggle to let go, and then we judge us oh so severely for doing either......catch 22. Yes, that other end of the road is the tough place to end on alone, wishing that things turned out differently. Sad, but you hit the nail on the head......:)
