Fog

Fog

A Poem by Naomi Renée
"

These words came to mind one evening as I looked out the car window at the beautifully thick mist settling below the bridge, over the city.

"

Filmy sheen of gauzy veil

Cloaking earth’s sleepy face;

Powdery perfume cloud

Floating, silent, in liquid fragrance.

Downy, airy quilt

Settling softly,

Subtly, lightly

Upon a rugged bed~

Tiny, winking lights

Through its misty feathers peeping

Like treasure in a chest

‘Neath drifts of snow.
