Sugar

Sugar

A Chapter by Moonie

Sugar sweet high.
Sugar sweet deep.
Your brown sugar is scorching me.
In cups measured, and
spoons just fine,
brown and white euphorias, my sunshine.
In sugar sweet cubes
and powdered ecstacy.
In snowy spoonfulls
and wild chemical frenzy.
Sugar white,
crystallized....
Sugar sweet,
hypnotized....
Hot sugar--tantalizing.....
warm sugar--stabilizing.....
Burnt and melting,
warming slowly,
melodiously dissolving.
Sugar sweet flavor,
sugar sweet feel.
A giant sugar glacier.
Sugar sweet symphony...

I'm sorry maybe I'm a bit dirty minded but this comes across as sexy as all hell. The flow of this is great and is most certainly best savored if read aloud. All the inference and symbolism is wonderful just enough to guide but not direct... a perfect melding and a great write! I love the voice in here it's matter of fact but in a gentle sway giving it a very warm feeling that sets loose my imagination. This construct your symphony is about as perfect a write as i have come across just floored.

Not sure if you are actually speaking of sweet treats or sensual ones, but in either case, I enjoyed the words. Who would not be enticed by a "giant sugar glacier"? :) Good one. Lydi**

I know, right!!!! They understand all the typos!!
'Sugar Sweet' was the name for a regular rave night in Belfast in the 1990s and your poem really brought those sweet times back into my minds eye.

Sugar is zero fat so we shouldn't feel guilty about diving straight into it lol. And you have no qualms judging by this.

Loved the phrase "melodiously dissolving' - cool as a sugar glacier, Moons.

Very creative and cute theme for the piece! The image you create with the words reminds me of the sticky sweet love, as I call it, for someone else.
