Though tragic to the writer, you found a way to make me smile at the horror of a muse in silence. How I hope the feast in the saucepan brought more words than a poetic soul could dream of. Let the muse flow in the fragrance of every scent around you.

I enjoyed reading this! A very constructive way of dealing with writer's block :)
Simple, straight forward with lovely images springing into my head :)
haha with a saucepan in hand!! are you going to smash it on the head to teach it a lesson? that's what saucepans are for, right?
I hope your technique worked. been there myself. nice poem, anyway.
Oh, the malevolent beast known as writer’s block, how many times have we battle, and slain the cunning creature, only to have it rise from the dead, like Romero’s Zombies, and attack with even more viciousness, ruthless in its approach. I’ve been there, join the club, we have jackets! I recently listen to an author (sorry, the name escapes me at the moment) but he uses a technique of reversal; think of a person’s career, or type and reverse what you know about them . . . e.g. a list of three, a mechanic, what does a mechanic do? Fixes cars, reverse it, what’s a mechanic that doesn’t work on cars do? A restaurant, what do restaurants do? They serve people? What if they didn’t serve people? A police officer, what do police officers do? Protect and server. What if said officer didn’t protect and serve. These are just examples. There’s also the title game, write titles, then think what goes with those titles; rearrange metaphors, or (and I’ve done this) write a letter to writer’s block, (or in your case, write a poem to it.
I hope this helps some

I also have a rather peculiar, but handy little trick. My work is inspired by nature, people and food. I feel my poems and food are strangely linked. I generally watch some cooking show and try to rhyme various ingredients....... always get stuck at "orange" though... :))

Not sure of the author's name, I read it a long time ago in an interview . . . but there have been trails that claim the fluid rush of blood can create conscious illusions/dreams, thus, someone could recount those allusions and put them to paper. Give it a shot, let me know how it works . . .
If you're a dreamer, come in
If you're a dreamer, a wisher, a liar
A hope er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer,
If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin
