Acquainting the alpha

Acquainting the alpha

A Poem by Moonie
"

~it's a poem about the same character who inspired "alpha" but this one is written with a different tone~

"
She barely reaches my breast
yet poses as if she's conquered the Everest,
spent time in the Amazon,
eaten at a bistro,
sung with the nymphs,
balanced encyclopedias in one hand,
ridden horses,
chopped wood,
stayed out till after the curfew,
she pretends to be wittier than
Oscar Wilde.
She knows a hundred music notes,
she says.
She claims to have traveled to the moon,
and etched her name there.

On mid summer nights,
I often
pull off my duvet,
descend to the ground,
peek out
at the moon.

Just in case....

Okay, this gave me a laugh, I've known many people like this, and not just women . . . I'm not really sure how to review this, because it quite straight forward, though comical, at least I hope that was the intention. I'm afraid I don't know the character 'Alpha' so perhaps the underlining meaning is lost on my, but i found it enjoyable.

I enjoyed reading it. You captured a lot of different imagery in a unique way and the ending leaves me with a mystery, at least I think of it as open ended, something to ponder.

Thank you for visiting! :)) I am glad you liked it. :)
I enjoyed this intriguing one. Maybe because people consider me as a bag of pure arrogance . So it reminds me of the theories about my egocentric personality. It was always hate at first look. Without a decent introducing. This made my day. It's blessed with great satire. Thank you!

Great write. I am both charmed and put-off by your enchanting, yet arrogant alpha. You have a character in her:)

Oh, thank you! The alpha's amazing feats make her lovable, yet her arrogance is hard to bear.
I love the ethereal flow to this one, fairest daughter. I love the title, the picture of the wolf, and the entire poem. It is quite mysterious, this character you speak of. Nice writing!

It is alwaus so nice to hear from you. Thanks for the wonderful comment! :))
Fantastic cascading prose, people should read and take note, this is how a cascading story works in free-form.
Excellently penned, beautiful imagery.
