Timely ice creams

Timely ice creams

A Chapter by Moonie
"

~time stops for a while~

"
 Frozen like vanilla ice creams,
 with
 oozing syrups--
 The time,
 it never really runs now,
 it slows,
 it walks,
 it strides purposefully.
 Like refrigerator airs
 On a summer day,
 It blows all at once.
Like a cone of fluffy sweetness
 It drips ever so slowly.
 Like yellow sunshine
 Licked off fingers,
 Pink naughtiness
 Sprinkled with nuts,
 It oozes around me in
 Sweet, sticky, sour syrups
 of love.

What a soft and delicate lament. Time. It has a way of moving so swiftly that we miss it as it just grazes by us, but it can move so very slowly that we feel as if we are susspended by it, unable and perhaps unwilling to relinquish ourselves from it. So beautiful and soulful. I love the metaphors you use, comparing time to Frozen Vanilla Ice Cream.

Thank you very much for the lovely review. :))
oooo, fairest daughter...this one is deliciously descriptive and decidedly naughty. I'm not sure where you were going metaphorically, but I love the mystery in this poem....good job.

It's dreamy and even very sensual. Of course I like the ice cream metaphor! And it's well carried out throughout the poem. Very nice.
