CockroachesA Poem by Naomi Ferris-RynkiewiczA little poem about what happened when I encountered a cockroach when I was little, and my feelings at that moment.
The unwelcome intruder flies at me
As I open the pantry door. Startled, I jump back, Dropping my bag of Cheetos in the process. Fustrated, I wait until the thing is somewhere else And then pick up my snack. Cockroaches. I hate those buggers! I hate everything about them: Their shiny bodies, antennae, wings and legs. I shudder and scream when I see one, Be it on the floor or on the wall. I don't like that they're everywhere, Whether in the living room, the kitchen, or the bathroom. I delight in squishing the little buggers Whenever they invade my domain. © 2015 Naomi Ferris-RynkiewiczAuthor's Note
