Where'd It Go?

Where'd It Go?

A Poem by +Naomi+
"

...

"
Where did we go?
I don't even talk to them anymore.
Somehow, I think I disappeared from you guys
and got so caught up in my own life,
that I didn't even think about messaging you back.

Now you're thinking of killing yourself,
he's gone and I don't know what she's doing anymore.
I feel lost and alone,
just waiting to be found again.

Where'd it go?
Where'd I go?

It happens to all of us, I've lost many friends due to the fact that we got caught up in our own lives and forgot about eachother. I miss them all, great read thankyou for sharing

I can relate to the feelings in this poem...it's no fun losing track of friends or relationships. The poem brings out that feeling of helplessness and astonishment that people often feel when they look around themselves and find that their old friends are gone or have changed. Goof job.

wow. i can really relate to this. sometimes we get so caught up in the hustle of life that we dont pay enough time to the people that matter the most to us and we feel terrible about doing it. im sorry.

I can understand where you're coming from in this, again, another good piece. But you don't need to blame yourself, these things just happen with friends, we grow, drift apart, they have their own new life and friends just as you do. It's good though, that you'd care to think about this, we never really do until it's too late.

In an odd way, I'm reminded of an old song by the Sisters of Mercy, called "When You Don't See Me". The Chorus goes something like:
"I don't exist when you don't see me
I don't exist when you're not here
What the eye don't see won't break the heart
You can make believe when we're apart
But when you leave I disappear
When you don't see me..."

Obviously not the gist of this piece but that's what was brought to mind.

What I like about your writing style is that it's straightforward. No frills. Raw. There's not enough of that in this world...

Friends may be gone for a time. Real friendship can be rebirth very quickly if needed. I like the way you wrote this poem. Open the doors to questions that can be answer by kindness and rebirth old friendships. A excellent poem.
