She'sGone.A Poem by +Naomi+Is this death? My minds blank as you take my place. Is this my fault? My minds blank as you're carried away. I black out slowly, My eyelids shifting shut. I awaken to the sound of a monitor. Doctors rush to get you breathing again. "She's not dead!" I want to scream. "Help her!" Yet I can't scream. I can't move. I'm looking down upon her face. Her piercing eyes are open, staring blankly at the ceiling. No. No, No, No! I shut my eyes before. This is a dream! A sick dream. "She's alive!" I tell myself... Yet I know this isn't the truth. She's gone. I could've stopped her. .... I didn't even get to say thank you.
