Initiate of LightA Poem by Nao Deguchi
Always the light was craved by lid-capped mind A glass ceiling of transparent fire Crown-chakra of my lightness of being Unbearable and ethereally trimmed Like a haircut of my spirit’s thirst Always the chief desire was the immaculate A constant stream of adoration For the stuff of the higher powers The mystical neuro-transmitter Ananda of dazzling cosmic thirst Transcendent urge to escape limitation The urge of soul’s boundless mystery Flecked with flame, pure consciousness The thrust into a seeing from above An impersonal scope of Brahma’s reign Always the light, marrying the Soil to the errant skies, the stars themselves Digested as if from Egyptian priests.
