Young love lies sleeping

In every adulthood of youth

Where are hearts blossom in tender light

To the adoration’s routine

Love lies sleeping in May

In easy June, and sultry July

In August’s graving full

You love lies in wait

In every poignant Autumn clear

White doves come in their flocks

As we prepare ourselves to give

The burdens and gestures

Of our hidden parts, soft eyes

There winds and waters guide us so

Twilight aches with the

Youthful business of the night.

About
