I am the clay petal of surreal thirst

Not for expression alone, but divine connection

These pilgrim poets of the world

Who move like Rishi, Taoist, Sufi

Above the brown-barrenness of desert-desire

With thirst transpernal & song superconscient

I am the mystic wave of ever-lastingness

That pushes vibration on into spiritual forms

A Sanskrit mantric unision of cells transpiring

For that alone which cannot be named

My dim pores flute only earthen music

Chords ephemeral, refrains inevitable

My ignorance stretches like a golden harp

Into the night, as a child I learned to sing

With tabla and sitar, glow-worm lantern-fire

I am the bhakti’s last resort, the upanishadic theme

Where roams the live-festivaled beloved’s thrill

Like a visitation from Krishna and Lakshmi sweet.

About
I will go to great lengths to encourage writers of Asian origin. Of these, Indian are my favorite. They have a beauty of sentiment that is not replicated in english. I do not like to leave a trace.. more..
