Suitably the Same Attired

Suitably the Same Attired

A Poem by Nao Deguchi

I glimpse without resting

My legs or my back

The little dreams of you

In a waking world unfit

To carry you my ideal

To your final resting place

In my arms, certainly rarely

Can I expect you to come

Home to the place where I waited

For signs of your existence

That it can be said that I best

Loved from a distance

Hoped for you, beyond time

The same as always

The flowers they still smell sweet

Back to the birthplace of love

Evolution, my origins unknown.

About
I will go to great lengths to encourage writers of Asian origin. Of these, Indian are my favorite. They have a beauty of sentiment that is not replicated in english. I do not like to leave a trace.. more..
