Community of the One

Community of the One

A Poem by Nao Deguchi

I have no community

Among this community of one

Only the salient presence

Of selected perceptions

Me and this neo-Nietzschean chatter

A post-Aurobindonian

Gradual isolation from

The need for a sense of

Belonging or, a relationship

Alone I find a pale gold

Tempered with the magnimanious
Irresponse to human completion

The looking within for

The pure potential of

Artistic context, spiritual unity

There is nothing more I need

I have no community

Among this community of one

Not even a will to survive

I adapt only in subjective mediums

The message was always primary

Form always secondary

Self an abstract metaphysical event

Relationship, a doctrine of fitting-in

Though what if I never fit in?

A resignation to be alone too

Has her benefits,

Under more tolerant examination

Enlightenment, actually becomes

Plausible, progress becomes personal.

About
I will go to great lengths to encourage writers of Asian origin. Of these, Indian are my favorite. They have a beauty of sentiment that is not replicated in english. I do not like to leave a trace.. more..
