In the Brothel of Magnificent AlienationA Poem by Nao Deguchi
Abstinence is the last Gratified desire I can own Since desire is only A planting of beauty and fruit For which I tire Loneliness is my last Right of proper alienation Remove away then The institution of marriage And I will show you A heroic life Remove away then The institution of doctrine And I will show you An existence of ruddy limbs The natural couch of gold Where in productive idleness I become somebody new.
