But One Kiss...A Poem by Nansi LondonA recently [like last week lol] wrote this for a contest on another poetry site and yay I won Silver. may not be Gold BUT!!! its better than bronze tehe! Propmt- about a kiss
A tingle upon my lips
A surge down my spine The sound of a light switch 'clicks' And suddenly I am blind. The obvious need to inhale The lack of memory how, His shoulders, my fingers assail His touch spiriting me between then and now. Finally the seal breaks. The bridge between us part. The shallow soil of my world quakes, To the misty uprising of my heart. We stare into each others' souls In the aftermath of amazed apprehension A thought, in a gaze, understood but untold, To take inventory of what may be lost in the power of our passion. © 2011 Nansi LondonFeatured Review
