October RainA Poem by Nansi LondonThis was just something inspired by a rainy day in october. some of the imagery i saw and heard, and others i imagined. and i really do enjoy October Rain...I hope you do too. Written October 4th, 2006 As the light rays from the sun glisten on the tall grass blades,
the sound of rain falls... The sunflowers raise there golden petals to the sky and taste the sweet nectar of October Rain... The little humming bird stops for awhile to whisper something sweet to the sunflowers, and in a instant he leaves to deliver the tail to another... The happy toads sing a song of celebration in harmony, as they dance in the heavens blessing... Deep within there tiny forest, the crickets talk eagerly amongst them self, too excited to wait for the night... A stray dog for the first time this morning, receives a free drink of cold water, one he did not need to beg for... And as I sit here watching tears fall down my window, listening to the footsteps of the rain on my window sill, the grass, and my roof top... I come to realize, that I am not the only creature that loves... October Rain... © 2008 Nansi LondonFeatured Review
