Innocent Yearnings

Purity…
Essence so sweet on my skin…it shakes me to the core.
I’ve waited so long for this…for you…
For us.

Not another night, to choke on tears that have soaked my pillows.
Not another day to awake to chirping Robins, and radiant winks of the sun through my curtains, and untouched, unwrinkled linens beside me.
No…no…

But now to know:
Arms pulsing with strength and security- to be my comfort
Eyes that devoured Atlantis and soon my breath- to be my refuge
And lips delicate to the moth’s wing- to show me paradise.
I claim…

Spirit away this heart that moves like a trapped thing in my chest.
Take me, this woman, ripe for the suckling, into your hands…
Hold my heart to your chest my darling, and know that it beats in time with yours.
This…is truly love….

Very sweet and pretty you capture the state of mind quite well (though I must admit I have to rattle a lot of brain cells to remember. )
