The Light

This is my usual format, but this one is alittle different. Iv been feeling rather happy lately, so i think that comes across somehow in the poem. I have made it sound a little more dramatic than what i am actually feeling, but too great effect i believe

What is this light
That warms my world from afar
Why does this just feel so right?

I havnt felt this way
Not for a long time
Could this finally be it,
What i have been searching for?

When i'm around you
The birds sing melodiously
The bees dance their sweet dance
And the grass feels softer

The sunlight seems more beautiful
The sun's rays more energizing
Just thinking of you
And what lies ahead.

I hardly know you
But already you have this effect
We havnt even agreed to this
Am i just getting ahead of myself?

Its like the world is telling us
That our futures are connected
That our lives are intertwined
And nothing will stop us

If i fall too far
make sure you catch me
i dont want the scars
or memories of what could have been
