Falling

Falling

A Poem by Jonathan Hoy
"

I wrote this a few days ago. its not about any person, its more about a feeling.

"

I have tasted you before

a happiness like no other

not a being, but a feeling

a connection of souls

then you left

gone as fast as you came

and then i fell

a stone in the ocean

here i go

falling into the black abyss

of the crushing defeat known as my life

one of emptiness and solitude

slowly i rise to catch the sunlight

standing tall, full of hope

once again flying solo

ignored by those i see

Denied once again

of seeking what i desire most

not procreation

but the connection of lives intertwined

here i am

falling into the black abyss

of the crushing defeat known as my life

one of emptiness and solitude

i want to get you out of my head

but i cant escape you

i dont want you to leave

but i dont want you here

here i am now

lying in a pool of my own self defeat

getting colder with each breath

slowly i fade

and now you are gone

I write these to express a strong emotion i am feeling, mostly because if i dont then it will consume me. The way i write is more literal in meaning rather than having symbolism, so it is very clear i.. more..
