Chapter I

"You are welcomed to the High Court of Asia.

Today, is the first day of your life as a Dito. As you were selected to join this Program; the meaning of life and the unique purpose of your existence on this planet will be taught to you", the speaker stopped. He was an impressive tall and muscular men with long and curly blue hair descending around his magnificent profile. His beard cut was of the same color and was waxed to perfection.

"Blue is the color of the Master of Wisdom," whispered someone in the assembly, "He is one of the most powerful person in the world."

Perched on his stage in the center of the stadium, the black uniform of the Master of Wisdom contrasted with the scenery of spotless white. Single black dot in the ivory vastness that surrounded him, his uniform, embroidered with gold thread was decorated with the emblems of the High Court. Its double helix of DNA represented the breeding and selection of individuals, and on the top of the helix, the white flame with four beams as a reference to the four sections of the High Court. Fragile sphere floating in the air, the hemispherical stadium conveyed the Ditos comfortably settled in its bleachers, drinking every words of the Master with the greatest attention. After a pause, the Master of Wisdom continued:

"Our goal, since 2876, is to protect the human race through time, and recreate a population that will regulate itself. We have seen what humans can do when left to themselves: selfishness, murder, theft, every sort of excess and abuse, self-destruction. Today we are building a perfect society, by selecting the beings the most able to bring this project to life: You, young Ditos.

Our objective," continued the Master of Wisdom, "is to build a community where Ditos work together in a common goal, to give Humanity its lost greatness. To make Humanity, this unbreakable bond between all of us. This society will be universal, unconditional, indestructible and eternal. This society is Ours.

Young Ditos, you have been shortlisted for your specific abilities, because you are different, and we need you to help us in accomplishing this project. We need you, because you are primordial for our realization. But most importantly, we need you to share our vision. Young Ditos, be the pride of Knowledge Program for Futurship. The future of our civilization depends on the accomplishment of each of you." The blue men left the stage, followed by the soldiers, the sound of the military walk echoing for few minutes.

Sitting under the hot sun of this morning summer, hundreds of young Ditos waited impatiently, with the same enthusiasm and ambition that characterize youth of all time. Inspired by the future offered by the High Court; exalted of being part of this great global project; honored for having been selected, proud to be able to make a difference. And the feel of belonging to something big - bigger than them, the feeling of existing through this universal project was thrilling in all hearts in the tribunes.
