Write about youA Poem by Nandawula Regine Kabali-KagwaFor someone special ❤️
I write about you often
I'd feel shy and just maybe... It's the reason that my tongue coils back Yet my heart swells like a bun in an oven Then I smile all of a sudden Looking into your wondering eyes I can't help but enthusiastically leap in Curiosity gets the best of me and I think... "what's running through that exquisite mind of yours?" "is my hair out of place?" I'd silently question In your presence I feel like an eager kid carrying a heap of toys Excited to show and play with every single one That's how I feel, a young lady Bursting with an eager beating heart and a mind As exhilarating as waterfall tumbles With you each passing second Glides gracefully like pure honey And the warmth of your fingertips Brands me further with tranquility, comfort and safety In my own little world I imagine your mind and mine Slowly paddling a boat on a river bank filled with Every thought, wander, opinion and confessions That seep deeper into our bond bank Delicate is how I am with you Allowing my petals to spread free, I find My mind and body in a whimsical dance of Passion, power and freedom That part of me is intricate I'd say, like a dandelion I safely allowed my pieces to fly free Soaring into high skies of The Escape With you NRK-K © 2024 Nandawula Regine Kabali-Kagwa |
