Painted Faces

Painted Faces

A Poem by Nancy

Painted faces hide the truth
Seldom found in the sea of lies

The veil like a shadow
The truth never makes a sound

Brazen evil lurks unfound
Deceit concealed as innocence

Going in circles
Searching for truth

Walking that tattered line
Knowing not all is lost

All ignorance has departed
I’ve found the strength

To overcome the lies
Don’t bother begging.

Forgiveness is no longer offered
Obscured vision is no longer there

The love I gave is here no more
The goodness corrupted

My innocence used.
I return the favor ..
With a smile

A highbrow expression. Unfortunately I'm teetering here while I'm scrambling to grasp the gist. The words are a bit hermetic yet overall I'm giving you 100 cos some of them do speak to me even if they are mystical.

Walking that tattered line
Knowing not all is lost

Euphemism for an apocalyptic situation. Nice lines whatsoever :)
