Nothing

Nothing

A Poem by Nancy

Everyone wonders why
Avoiding the questions,
Hiding the heartbreak
Smiling, through all the pain.

Making a hard decision
Losing the battle and the best friend
You assumed you’d ever have.

Thinking of how you could’ve
Taken a different road.
Wishing you knew nothing of the
Things you know now.

Ignorance is more blissful
Than you could’ve ever imagined…

He was your hero,
Your love, life, and future

You look around now… and see

Nothing.

Sorry if this is the crappiest poem ever but it says what I can get out right now.

When we look at our decisions. We can be the hardest on our selves. Life is a pain in the a*s. Every decision had the good and the bad consequences. A very sad ending to the poem. Life would be better. If we knew the ending at the beginning? A excellent poem.

It's a nice write, and it came from the heart. That is what matters most:)

very honest in speculation about the futility of a cherished thought. I liked the idea of stating an axiom here "Ignorance is more blissful...ever imagined"

Nice work here.
